Gladys Poon holds an undergraduate degree in Physics and a PhD in Oncology from University of Cambridge. Her previous work bridged cancer genomics, evolutionary biology, and mathematics with single-cell experiments to advance the understanding of somatic evolution in normal and precancerous human tissues. At University of Hong Kong (HKU), Gladys combines computational biology, mathematics, and cancer multi-omics to explore cancer evolution. Specifically, she is applying her quantitative biology expertise to study the phenotypic plasticity of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) tumors using human samples.
