Xin Weng is a research fellow at the School of Biomedical Sciences at Chinese University of Hong Kong, focusing on the developmental mechanisms underlying cochlear development and function. Her research interests center on the development of inner ear sensory and non-sensory epithelium, particularly the differentiation processes and lineage of cochlear non-sensory cells and their roles in hearing. Utilizing genetic mouse models and bioinformatics analyses, Xin aims to uncover the developmental processes that contribute to auditory function and identify potential therapeutic targets for hearing loss.
