Xin Weng (翁昕)
Developmental Regeneration and Biology
I am currently a research fellow at the School of Biomedical Sciences, where I focus on the developmental mechanisms underlying cochlear development and functions. My research interests include investigating the development of inner ear sensory and non-sensory epithelium, particularly the differentiation processes and lineage of cochlear non-sensory cells and their roles in hearing. I use techniques such as genetic mouse models and bioinformatics analyses. My study aims to uncover the developmental processes that contribute to auditory function and to identify potential therapeutic targets for hearing loss. With a strong background in developmental biology and molecular genetics, I am committed to advancing our understanding of auditory system development.
