Wang Wuming

Wang Wuming earned his B.Sc. in Biological Science from Nanchang University (2011), his M.Sc. in Biology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (2014), and his PhD from the Department of Surgery at Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2017. Following postdoctoral training in Professor Chan Wai-yee’s laboratory at CUHK's School of Biomedical Sciences, he was appointed Research Assistant Professor in 2021. Dr. Wang's research focuses on the regulatory mechanisms of pluripotency maintenance in embryonic stem cells (ESCs) and the dynamic changes of non-CG DNA methylation during cardiomyocyte differentiation. His current research interests span ESC pluripotency, cardiac development and disease, and the translational application of genome technologies.
