Keith Leung (梁啓雄)
University of Hong Kong
I am a Research Officer at the School of Biomedical Sciences in HKU, working under Professor Kathryn Cheah. My research focuses on the gene function and regulation in various developmental processes, specifically in cartilage and bone, and inner ear development, including hair cell specification. Currently, I am investigating the potential enhancer elements of SPRY4 for gut development, as identified through genome-wide association studies on patients with Hirschsprung's disease. I have developed expertise in generating mouse models of human diseases using gene knockout, transgenic techniques and CRISPR-Cas9 technology. These models provide critical insights into the gene function and molecular pathogenesis of diseases.
