Kangning Lin (林康宁)
Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
Kangning Lin's research interest centers on developing therapeutic approaches to slow down aging and improve human health. During his PhD studies, he investigated the molecular regulation of adult stem cell quiescence using muscle stem cells as a model—examining how quiescence is maintained and how these regulatory mechanisms become disrupted during aging. Currently, Kangning is a postdoctoral fellow at the Hong Kong Centre for Neurodegenerative Diseases (HKCEND), where he works on developing therapies for multiple aging-related diseases. His present research focuses on identifying pharmacological interventions to reverse cellular senescence and boost mitochondrial function, addressing two hallmark features of aging.
