I’m trained in Dr. Karen Wing Yee Yuen’s lab at the University of Hong Kong and got my Ph.D. degree in 2020 and now continue work as a Postdoctoral Fellow. My study aims to reveal the epigenetic regulation of the centromere establishment and maintenance. Furthermore, stably propagated humanized C. elegans artificial chromosomes and propagated HACs in human cell lines with the functional centromere will be constructed and used as powerful tools for manipulating and studying the functional non-coding genome, developmental disorders, and human complex diseases. Through this study, we will gain insights into how important to understanding human health from new perspectives by clarifying and regulating the functional mechanisms of non-coding genome.
