Alessio Ricci
Assistant Professor of Fluid Dynamics , University School for Advanced Studies, Pavia
Alessio Ricci completed his BA and MA in architecture and construction engineering at the University of Gabriele d'Annunzio in Chieti, Italy, from 2007 to 2010. He then pursued a double PhD degree in structural and geotechnical engineering and urban physics at the University of Genoa and Eindhoven University of Technology from 2012 to 2017.

Ricci's main research interests include wind flow modelling in urban areas, the downscaling of atmospheric winds, wind effects on ships and port infrastructure, and pedestrian-level wind comfort assessment. He has been invited to speak at a number of international conferences, and he is conference chair of COBEE 2025, the 6th International Conference on Building Energy and Environment, 6–11 July 2025. Ricci is an assistant editor at the journal Building & Environment.
