Yuner Huang (黃韻兒)
Hong Kong Polytechnic University
I had been working in University of Edinburgh for 9 years before joining Hong Kong PolyU in Jan 2025. One of my research interests is interdisciplinary research to address climate resilience of built environment with vulnerable communities, especially under cyclones. My research outputs have been used by Red Cross in their revised build-back-better guideline and climate adaptation missions in Madagascar. My interdisciplinary research methods were shared in two UKRI workshops that scoped future research investments in ODA research and feed into UN Climate Change Conference (COP26). I am exploring research opportunities in Hong Kong on climate resilience of urban poor under typhoon impacts, for which this LiDAR workshop will provide an useful opportunity.
