Yuner Huang had been working in University of Edinburgh for 9 years before joining Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Jan 2025. One of her research interests is interdisciplinary research to address climate resilience of built environment with vulnerable communities, especially under cyclones. Her research outputs have been used by Red Cross in their revised build-back-better guideline and climate adaptation missions in Madagascar. Her interdisciplinary research methods were shared in two UKRI workshops that scoped future research investments in ODA research and feed into UN Climate Change Conference (COP26). She is exploring research opportunities in Hong Kong on climate resilience of urban poor under typhoon impacts, for which this LiDAR workshop will provide an useful opportunity.
