Yu Ting Kwok (郭于庭)

Yu Ting is a Scientific Officer at the Hong Kong Observatory. After gaining experience in the development of numerical weather prediction (NWP) model post-processing applications, she is now working as weather forecaster in the Forecast Operation Division. With research interests in urban climatology, she previously obtained her PhD in Architecture from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) under the supervision of Edward Ng. She also worked in close collaboration with scientists from Météo-France on her thesis titled Mesoscale Urban Climate Modelling of High-rise High-density Cities: Implications on Urban Heat Mitigation of Hong Kong. Besides, she is currently an Honorary Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Environment, Energy and Sustainability, CUHK.
