Yan Wa Chung
Hong Kong Observatory
I am a scientific officer at the Hong Kong Observatory's Aviation Weather Forecast and Warning Services division. Our work focuses on delivering precise weather observations, forecasts, and warnings for airports, according to the ICAO standard. We develop nowcasting systems to support meteorological services for terminal areas and provide essential weather information for general aviation. Our goal is to ensure safety and efficiency in aviation operations by delivering reliable and accurate weather data tailored to the needs of the aviation community. Understanding ground-based lidar networks can provide me with insights and facilitate my understanding on matters related to the low-altitude economy.
