Mei Shuojun is an associate professor in urban climate simulation. He holds a Bachelor and PhD degree in thermal energy engineering. His research focuses on modelling and simulating the anthropogenic pollutant and heat dispersion on the neighbourhood scale and city scale. To study the urban airflow and its interaction with UHI, he has: created models based on analytical and numerical solutions of urban airflow, developed and optimised algorithms for high-resolution turbulence modelling on supercomputers. His current aim is to develop fast-predicting model for the local Urban Heat islands (UHI) for urban energy resilience analysis. He also interests in urban radiation modelling.
