Rui Zhao (赵睿)
Hong Kong Polytechnic University
I am currently a Ph.D. student at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, specialising in the application of data-driven technologies in the built environment. My research interests are deeply rooted in exploring how neural networks, Fourier transforms, and Spectral Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (SPOD) can innovate and improve the efficiency of building designs and operations. This involves analysing vast amounts of data to derive meaningful insights that can lead to energy optimisation and enhanced sustainability in urban infrastructure. My goal is to bridge the gap between complex computational methods and practical architectural applications, providing scalable solutions that address contemporary challenges in environmental efficiency and urban planning.
