Rakesh Mistry is a research scholar at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal. She has completed her master's degree in urban planning. She is doing research on local climate zones and the thermal variability of urban residential neighbourhoods. She has done some extensive research on the spatiotemporal variation of land surface temperature for Bhopal. She is also doing research on the outdoor thermal comfort of residential neighbourhoods in peak summer and how the morphology effects the thermal comfort. She is trying to do some micro-climatic simulation work in ENVI-met software to understand the comparison between the actual and simulated conditions. She is also creating some altered models to mitigate the extreme heat conditions.
