Patricia Drach is an architect and urban planner. PhD in Computational Modeling from LNCC/MCTI. Postdoctoral fellowships: Civil Engineering and Environmental Management at GCU/UK and the Graduate Program in Civil Engineering at UTFPR, both funded by CNPq. Professor in the Architecture and Urbanism Program and the Specialization in Architectural Management and Restoration at ESDI/UERJ, Petrópolis. Permanent Professor in the Graduate Program in Urbanism (PROURB/UFRJ). Coordinator of the CNPq Research Laboratories UrBiS (UFRJ) and BiaLab (UERJ). Current projects include "Urban Settlements: Diagnoses and Reflections on City Design" and "The Rural-Urban Nexus and Sustainability" at DAU-UERJ, as well as "Mapping Potential Strategies to Address Urban Warming: Adopting Sustainable Alternatives to Improve Quality of Life" at PROURB-UFRJ. Her work focuses on Architecture and Urbanism, with an emphasis on architectural and urban technology and its interaction with climate and place, squares and public spaces, city and sustainability, landscape archaeology, and computational simulation.
