Back in my studies in the university, I had chance to gain basic knowledge of remote sensing by means of geographic information system and its application in urban analysis on aerial photos and land use classification. Currently working as town planner in Planning Department, I have a brief understanding of LiDAR and the use on aerial photo interpretation from my work tasks. Through participating in this course, I hope to deepen my knowledge on practical application of LiDAR in urban planning as well as other aspects such as environmental and transport planning, and to gain more insights from overseas experience of this technology.
