Natalie Yim (嚴劭敏)
Planning Department of the HKSAR Government
Natalie Yim is currently working as town planner in the Planning Department of the HKSAR Government. Back in her studies in the university, she had the chance to gain basic knowledge of remote sensing by means of geographic information system and its application in urban analysis on aerial photos and land use classification. Currently, she has a brief understanding of LiDAR and the use on aerial photo interpretation from her work tasks. Through participating in this course, she hopes to deepen her knowledge on the practical application of LiDAR in urban planning as well as other aspects, such as environmental and transport planning, and to gain more insights from overseas experience of this technology.
