I graduated with a bachelor of architecture from the University of Moratuwa in 2018, and currently, I’m working as an architect at the project consultancy unit at the University of Moratuwa. There, I was able to get involved and had the opportunity to take part in various building projects, which experimented with the materiality of buildings, different construction methods, passive and active ventilation methods of buildings, urban infrastructure, and urban planning projects.
My interests in urban sustainability and climatology led me to investigate the complex challenges contemporary cities face in terms of mitigation or adaptation of urban climate change. My research experience generally encompasses pedestrian thermal comfort, urban wind movement at pedestrian level and wind comfort on pedestrians, and computational studies related to the urban built environment. Also, I am deeply interested in simulation studies, especially those related to CFD.
