Jue Wang (王珏)
Hong Kong Polytechnic University
I am a PhD student at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. My research topic is about the simulation of urban wind fields. My research aims to accurately reproduce the complexities of wind patterns in real urban environments, which are influenced by various factors such as building geometry and heterogeneous landscape features. To achieve this, I utilise multi-scale computational tools such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model. By integrating these methodologies, I strive to consider extensive factors that can affect urban airflow including land cover, terrain, and atmospheric process. Through my work, I aspire to enhance our understanding of urban airflow dynamics, contributing to better urban planning and improved air quality in cities.
