Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Jue Wang is a PhD student at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her research topic is about the simulation of urban wind fields. Her research aims to accurately reproduce the complexities of wind patterns in real urban environments, which are influenced by various factors such as building geometry and heterogeneous landscape features. To achieve this, she utilises multi-scale computational tools such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model. By integrating these methodologies, she strives to consider extensive factors that can affect urban airflow including land cover, terrain, and atmospheric process. Through her work, she aspires to enhance her understanding of urban airflow dynamics, contributing to better urban planning and improved air quality in cities.
