Hong Kong Observatory
Doctoral and post-doctoral work involved graph theory and infinite matroids with the support of the Croucher Foundation and the Humboldt Foundation. Then moved to work in meteorology, as a bench weather forecaster as well as a forecast tool developer. Currently experimenting four-dimensional variational data assimilation methods to build up a high resolution and extensive dataset. It would be interesting to assimilate the data from the radar and lidar network to better understand the urban meteorology of Hong Kong, in particular, the winds and the temperatures, which will be useful in training AI models to improve the forecast. Go to the Free Methodist Church.
