University of Sao Paulo
Flavia Ribeiro is a faculty member of the environmental management program at University of Sao Paulo (EACH-USP), in the areas of environmental modelling and mathematics for environmental analysis. She is also a researcher and advisor in the graduate program in sustainability, and holds a PhD in atmospheric sciences by the Institute of Astronomy, geophysics and atmospheric sciences of the University of Sao Paulo (IAG-USP). She is a post-doctorate in urban atmosphere modelling at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, CO, US and in urban-ocean-atmosphere interactions in coastal cities at the Colorado University in Boulder, CO, US. She performs research on urban atmosphere, urban heat islands, ocean-atmosphere interaction, air quality, and air pollutant emissions. She works with numerical atmospheric models of meso and micro-scale, and oceanic and air quality numerical models.
