Ana Monteiro de Sousa

Ana Monteiro is a full professor at University of Porto (UP). She has a degree in geography from UP, postgraduate degrees in EIA from University of Aberdeen (UK) and in physical geography from UP, and a PhD and Agregação in physical geography (urban climatology) from UP. She was the Dean and Vice-dean of FLUP, national representative in several Cost Action and evaluator at 7FP and H2020, FCT and similar agencies abroad. She has been invited to several national and foreign universities. She is also a coordinator and researcher in more than 30 national and international scientific research projects. She teaches and does research since 1983 in urban climatology, bioclimatology, agroclimatology, atmospheric pollution, urban planning, etc. In the last few years, Ana coordinated the climate dimension of the strategy plan to porto metropolitan area, the porto master plan and the bioclimatic comfort of road trees plan.
