Ana Monteiro de Sousa

Ana Monteiro is full Professor at the Department of Geography of the University of Porto (UP). She has a degree in geography from UP, postgraduate degrees in EIA from the University of Aberdeen (UK) and in physical geography from UP, and a PhD and Agregação in Physical Geography (urban climatology) from UP. She was Dean and Vice-dean of FLUP, national representative in several Cost Action and evaluator at 7FP and H2020, FCT and similar agencies abroad. She has been invited professor at several national and foreign universities, coordinator and researcher in more than 30 national and international scientific research projects. She teaches and does research since 1983 in urban climatology, bioclimatology, agroclimatology, atmospheric pollution, urban planning, etc. In the last years Ana Monteiro coordinated the Climate dimension of the Strategy Plan to Porto Metropolitan Area, the Porto Master Plan, the Bioclimatic Comfort of Road Trees Plan and the Environmental Index
