Prof Roger A Falconer
Professor, University of Cardiff
Fellow, Royal Academy of Engineering (1997). Prof Falconer is an international expert in computational hydro‐environmental modelling and founded the Hydro-environmental Research Centre at Cardiff. He is Past President of the International Association for Hydro‐ Environment Engineering and Research – IAHR (2011-15) and Honorary Member (2017). He was chair of the Civil and Construction Engineering Sub-Panel for the UK Research Excellence Framework (REF2014) and a member of RAE2008. He has served as expert advisor to industry and government departments worldwide on a wide range of water environmental impact assessment (EIA) projects. He has delivered keynote lectures worldwide and also participated extensively in TV and Press interviews on issues including the Severn Barrage, flooding, and global water security.
