Yuxiang Nie (聂宇翔) is a third-year Ph.D. student in Computer Science and Engineering (2023-present) at the SMART Lab, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, under the guidance of Prof. Hao Chen. He obtained his master’s degree at the Beijing Institute of Technology in June 2023, mentored by Prof. Heyan Huang and Prof. Xian-Ling Mao. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the Beijing Institute of Technology (2016-2020). He also collaborates closely with Prof. Lizi Liao. His research interests span medical AI, natural language processing, and computer vision. Specifically, his recent work focuses on developing foundation models for medical applications.
