Learn about theories and methodologies of generative AI and large-scale foundation models for biomedicine.

Deep learning underpins numerous artificial intelligence (AI) applications, which have proven to be practical and powerful tools in many domains in the past decade, including computer vision, natural language processing, and healthcare. Moreover, pioneers of AI won the 2024 Nobel Prizes in Chemistry and Physics. Recent advances in generative AI technology and large-scale foundation models have led to rapid changes in the biomedical AI research paradigm, especially over the past two years. Accordingly, the proposed Advanced Study Institute (ASI) will bring six pioneering and world-famous scientists to give lectures on the latest developments in biomedical AI. In addition, there will be ample opportunities, such as coffee breaks and evening poster sessions, for idea exchange and face-to-face discussions between speakers, students, and other participants.
