Yingzhi Liu (劉穎芝)

Yingzhi Liu obtained her MPH (Master of Public Health) degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2015, following her bachelor's degree in Preventive Medicine from Guangzhou Medical School. She joined the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at the Chinese University of Hong Kong as a research assistant in 2018 and became a PhD candidate in 2019. Her research background includes epidemiology of respiratory tract infections and bioinformatics related to the gut microbiome. Over the past years, she has worked with metagenomic data, integrating public health perspectives to contribute to several gut microbiome studies, particularly those focused on early life. Yingzhi's future research interests include applying metagenomic approaches to enhance early-stage infection notification and prevention.
