Xi Wang (王茜)

Xi Wang is currently a research assistant professor at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Before that, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University and Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). She received her PhD degree from CUHK in 2020. Her research lies at the intersection of computer science, medical science, and physics, with a special emphasis on deep learning, medical image analysis, and complex systems, strongly driven by the goal of improving human health. She has received several honours, including the Best Paper Award at MIAR 2016 and the Stanford Seed Grant Award in 2023. She has also won multiple international grand challenges in medical imaging analysis. One of her works was selected for the cover page of The Lancet Digital Health, and another as a featured article in IEEE Reviews in Biomedical Engineering.
