Xi Wang (王茜)

Xi Wang is currently a research assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Before that, she worked as a post-doctoral fellow at Stanford University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). She received her PhD degree in CSE from CUHK in 2020. Her research lies at the intersection of computer science, medical science, and physics, with special emphasis on deep learning, medical image analysis, and complex systems, strongly driven by the goal of improving human health. She has received several honors, including the Best Paper Award at MIAR 2016 and the Stanford Seed Grant Award in 2023. She has also won multiple international grand challenges in medical imaging analysis. One of her works was selected as the Cover Page of The Lancet Digital Health, and another as a Featured Article in IEEE Reviews in Biomedical Engineering.
