Ruyue Shen

Ruyue Shen earned her bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine in 2015 from Xiangya School of Medicine, Central South University. She completed her PhD in Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences in 2022 at the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences (DOVS), Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Following her doctoral studies, Ruyue joined the DOVS at CUHK as a Postdoctoral Fellow. She currently serves as the Principal Investigator on projects funded by the Health and Medical Research Fund (HMRF). Ruyue's research focuses on leveraging advanced deep learning algorithms to enhance the screening, early diagnosis, and management of irreversible visual impairment caused by eye diseases. Her work aims to improve clinical outcomes through innovative applications of artificial intelligence in ophthalmology.
