Dr. Qing Liu is currently an Academy Research Fellow and Adjunct Professor with Center for Machine Vision and Signal Analysis (CMVS). She is leading the Academy Research Fellow project “Towards reading retinal fundus images for real-world clinical applications”. Her research focuses on AI-powered fundus image analysis and retinal disease detection and aims at solving challenge issues like tiny lesion segmentation in fundus images, data insufficiency via partially supervised learning as well as trustworthiness and fair disease detection models. Qing is also an active researcher and servers as an area chair for BMVC2025, ICASPP 2025&2024, an associate editor for Journal of Image and Vision Computing, Computer Vision and Image Understanding.
