Neeraj Mahboobani (馬承志)
Chinese University of Hong Kong
I obtained my fellowship in 2017. My main focus is in neuroradiology. In recent years I have been actively involved in the use and adoption of artificial intelligence in radiology. I am the Convenor of the Task Force on AI under the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine, and the Chairman of the AI Subcommittee of Hong Kong College of Radiologists. I played a central role in the implementation of AI for the detection of acute intracranial haemorrhage and midline shift on CT brain scans in 17 public hospitals in Hong Kong, and was recognized as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Hong Kong in 2023 for this implementation. My vision is to transform radiology practices with AI and technology, including imaging acceleration, biomarkers development, image analysis and interpretation, enhance diagnostics, augment workflows, and develop multi-modality foundational models. I look forward to the opportunity to participate in this course.
