Jue Shi (史珏)
Hong Kong Baptist University
Jue Shi is a professor in the Department of Physics, Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning) of the Faculty of Science, Director of Center for Quantitative Systems Biology at Hong Kong Baptist University. She received her BSc in Physics from Sun Yat-sen University (China) and PhD in Biophysics from University of Michigan, Ann Abor (USA). She then conducted her post-doctoral research in the Department of Systems Biology, Harvard Medical School. Jue's main research interest is in bio-dynamics, i.e., elucidating how molecular machineries organised as pathways/networks act dynamically within and between interacting cell types to control physiological and pathological responses in complex tissue micro-environments. Her research is at the unique juncture of biophysics, cell biology, cancer pharmacology and immunology, integrating cross-disciplinary techniques, methodologies and quantitative analysis to decipher dynamic control underlying anticancer drug response and immuno-oncology.
