Jingwen Xu (胥敬文)

Jingwen Xu is a fourth-year PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science at Hong Kong Baptist University. Before that, he received his B.Eng. from Shandong University and M.Eng. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on deep learning for temporal, multimodal electronic health records, including laboratory data and medical imaging. Jingwen aims to build disease prediction models that remain robust with incomplete or irregular medical data, generalise across institutions and healthcare systems, and integrate heterogeneous clinical evidence through multimodal learning. His broader goal is to advance trustworthy, transferable AI tools that support real-world clinical decision-making.
