Hon Fai Chan (陳漢輝)

Hon Fai Chan is an associate professor at Institute for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine and at Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He received his bachelor's degree from University of Hong Kong in 2010, before pursuing his PhD degree at Duke University with the support of the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fellowships for Overseas Studies. From 2015 to 2017, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology before joining CUHK in 2018. Hon Fai’s research mainly focuses on advancing biofabrication approaches and biomaterial design for stem cell tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, as well as understanding how microenvironmental cues influence stem cell proliferation and differentiation.
