Yuanming Liu (刘沅明)
City University of Hong Kong
Yuanming Liu earned his PhD from Tsinghua University in 2021 and is currently a postdoctoral fellow in Professor Guohua Chen's research group at City University of Hong Kong (CityU). His research mainly focuses on the interface stability and safety of high-energy-density lithium batteries. Regarding the anode, Yuanming's research concentrates on lithium metal, though he has also evaluate graphite anodes for practical comparison. On the cathode side, he studies high-nickel layered oxide cathodes due to their great potential for next-generation high-energy-density systems. To improve safety, Yuanming aims to uncover previously unexplored side reactions, helping to advance batteries that combine high energy density with enhanced safety.
