Yu Zhou (周宇)
City university of HongKong
Yu Zhou is a postdoctoral fellow at the City University of Hong Kong. Her research interests focus on sodium-ion battery material synthesis, electrolyte design, and sulfur-based batteries. During her five-and-a-half-year combined master's and doctoral studies, she gained memorable experience and made progress in research on cathodes for lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries. As a postdoctoral researcher, she began investigating cationic and anionic redox reactions of oxide cathodes for sodium-ion batteries and electrolyte engineering for sulfur-based batteries. Beyond her core research topics, Yu has explored other areas, including spent battery recycling as well as aqueous sodium and zinc batteries. She finds the research process and unexpected results exciting, and enjoys solving problems, reading relevant literature, and thinking critically.
