Yu Zhou (周宇)
City university of HongKong
Dr. ZHOU Yu, a postdoctoral fellow in city university of Hong Kong. Her research interest focus on sodium-ion battery material synthesis, electrolyte design, and Sulfur-based batteries. During the life of 5.5 years of her Master-Doctor period, she has got a lot of memorable experience and made progress on the research of cathodes for lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries. In the postdoctoral period, she begans to investigate cationic and anionic redox reactions of oxide cathodes for sodium-ion batteries and electrolyte engineering for sulfur-based batteries. Besides the major research topics, she has explored others including spent battery recovery, and aqueous sodium/zinc batteries. The exploration process and unexpected results often made her feel exciting. She enjoys solving problems, following interesting literatures, and thinking critically.
