Yonghong Deng is the Professor and Associate Dean at Southern University of Science and Technology, and also serves as a Chief Scientist at Shenzhen CAPCHEM Technology Co. Ltd in China. She received her Ph.D. degree from Tsinghua University in 2003, and then was a postdoctoral fellow from 2004 to 2008 at Tsinghua University and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, USA. She joined in SUSTech in 2016, and focused on developing high-energy-density lithium-based batteries and their key materials. She has published over 200 papers in high-impact journals such as Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, Energy & Environmental Science, etc., and filed more than 100 invention patents.
