Xuejie Huang (黄学杰)

Xuejie Huang is a professor at the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOP-CAS), and the deputy director of Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory. He earned his PhD from Delft University of Technology in 1993 and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Christian-Albrechts University in Kiel from 1994 to 1995. Since 1996, Xuejie has headed the Solid State Ionics Group at IOP-CAS, focusing on secondary lithium batteries and related materials. He has published over 300 peer-reviewed journal papers and holds more than 80 granted patents. Xuejie has developed technologies for the battery industry in China and founded Phylion Battery Co Ltd in 1998, a leading global producer of lithium-ion batteries for light electric vehicles. He also serves as the chief specialist for national electric vehicle key projects under the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and is editor-in-chief of Energy Storage Science and Technology.
