Xiaoliang Yu (於晓亮)

Xiaoliang Yu received his bachelor’s and PhD degrees from Tsinghua University. He is currently a research assistant professor at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). He has received competitive research funding, including the Young Collaborative Research Grant (YCRG) and grants from the Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF) in Hong Kong, totaling over HK$10m.
Xiaoliang's research focuses on smart and sustainable battery manufacturing, spanning electrolyte formulation, electrode preparation, cell fabrication, health monitoring, and recycling. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed research papers, accumulating over 3,000 Google citations with an H-index of 26. He is a reviewer for many prestigious journals, including Nature Communication, Advanced Materials, and Advanced Energy Materials, and is a Lead Guest Editor for Frontiers in Chemistry.
