Ruihan Zhang (张瑞寒)

Ruihan Zhang is the Chief Technology Officer of Siphone Science and Technology Ltd. He obtained his PhD in mechanical engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2019 and subsequently worked as a research scientist at Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 2019 to 2021. Ruihan's research focuses on high-energy-density batteries and battery management system for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, fully automated battery electrode manufacturing processes, and the sustainable recycling of spent batteries. He has led two Technology Start-up Support Scheme for Universities (TSSSU) projects funded by the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC), participated in five projects of the US Department of Energy and the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Fund, and published over 40 academic papers with more than 2,100 citations.
