He is committed to the design of high-performance electrode materials and advanced electrolyte for sodium-ion batteries. He has published over 130 papers, such as Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Nat. Commun., Joule, Energy Environ. Soc., Chem. Soc. Rev., with more than 13000 citations. His H-index is 55 (Google Scholar, June 2024). He serves as the deputy director of State Key Laboratory of Advanced Chemical Power Sources and executive associate editor of. He has been selected in Korean Research Fellowship (KRF) Program (2016-2019) and the Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program funded by CAST. He was awarded the first prize of Natural Science Award of Ministry of Education of China (ranked R2, 2020).
