Jongwoo Lim (林鍾佑)

Jongwoo Lim is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Seoul National University (SNU). His research focuses on developing renewable energy applications to address climate change. He earned his BS in Chemistry at Postech in South Korea in 2008 and his Ph.D. in Chemistry at UC Berkeley (Advisor: Peidong Yang) in 2013. Before joining SNU in 2017, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University (Advisor: William Chueh). He has received several honors, including the Su-Moon Park Award from Korean Electrochemical Society (2024), Young Scientist Award from the President of South Korea (2023), the KCS-Wiley Young Chemist Award (2023), the Research Award from the SNU College of Science (2023), and the MRS Graduate Student Award Silver (2013). In 2023, he was also elected as a member of Y-KAST.
