The Chinese University of Hong Kong
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Applied Chemistry from Nanjing University of Science and Technology. I am currently a PhD student in Prof. Byung-Ho Kang’s lab at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where I focus on the ultrastructure and homeostasis of organelles. My research examines how biotic and abiotic stress conditions initiate various cellular processes, including signal transduction, organelle dynamics, and autophagic degradation. My current projects investigate the dynamics and regulatory mechanisms involved in organelle-specific autophagic degradation, particularly mitophagy (mitochondrial autophagy) and golgiphagy (Golgi apparatus autophagy). To achieve these objectives, I utilize molecular biology assays, live-cell imaging, and biological electron tomography.
