Ryan Yip
Chinese University of Hong Kong
I obtained my PhD in Biochemistry from CUHK. In my previous research, I focused on the interaction of a protein kinase, (Serine/Arginine-rich Protein Kinase 2) SRPK2, and a viral protein, Hepatitis B virus (HBV) core protein. Understanding the molecular basis of the binding between HBV core protein and SRPK2, and the phosphorylation mechanism of HBV core protein by SRPK2 can be beneficial to the development of new therapies. I am currently serve as a technician in School of Life Sciences at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, assisting in lab facility and equipment management and also teaching life sciences course for undergraduate.
