Ryan Yip
Chinese University of Hong Kong
Ryan Yip earned his PhD in Biochemistry from Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Their research focused on the interaction between serine/arginine-rich protein kinase 2 (SRPK2) and the Hepatitis B virus (HBV) core protein. Elucidating the molecular binding mechanisms and SRPK2-mediated phosphorylation of the HBV core protein provides valuable insights for developing novel antiviral therapies. Currently, he serves as a technician in the School of Life Sciences at CUHK, managing laboratory facilities and equipment alongside teaching undergraduate life sciences courses.
