Peiyuan Huang
Chinese University of Hong Kong
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher working with Prof. Liting Duan at CUHK BME to develop cutting-edge optogenetic tools to advance our understanding of cellular signal transduction. My research insterest has focused on TrkB receptor signaling, a pivotal pathway in neuronal surivival, differentiation, and plasticity. We have successfully applied light-inducible TrkB receptor signaling to promote neuron regeneration. In addition, I have been interested in cellular organelles that contribute to various physiological and pathological processes in normal and cancer cells. In this program, I look forward to learning from experts in the field of imaging techniques such as cryo EM to potentiate my research techniques and broaden my view of cellular structual biology.
