Lu Zhang earned her PhD in Botany in 2019 from Sun Yat-sen University, in collaboration with the University of California, Riverside. Having previously served as an Associate Professor at Hainan Normal University for four years, she is currently a Research Associate in Professor Liwen Jiang's laboratory at Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Her research focuses on plant cell biology, specifically the mechanisms of organelle biogenesis and cellular responses to environmental stress. Driven by a passion to understand how plants adapt to challenging conditions, Lu explores innovative approaches to enhance plant resilience.
