Kailei Sun
Chinese University of Hong Kong
I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, working under the guidance of Shannon Au. I completed my undergraduate studies at Fudan University. My research focuses on the protein structures and functions in bacteria, particularly large protein complexes in Helicobacter pylori. I have experience in using cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) to solve protease structures in various conformations and am now exploring additional cryo technologies such as cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET). I'm committed to advancing the understanding of macromolecular assemblies in H. pylori and their functions, contributing to the broader field of microbiology. I'm eager to take this course and seize the opportunity to expand my knowledge and skills further.
