Junfeng Cao (曹俊峰)
Chinese University of Hong Kong
Junfeng Cao is a postdoctoral researcher in Professor Liwen Jiang’s laboratory at Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). His research focuses on crop trichome development, examining how transcription factors and epigenetic regulators - such as RNA methylation - govern cell differentiation and secondary metabolism. Although these processes are vital, how cellular organelles such as vacuoles influence cell elongation remains underexplored. To address this gap, Jun Feng is investigating the role of vacuoles in cell elongation and Arabidopsis root development and resistance. Ultimately, he aims to translate these findings into major crops, enhancing agricultural resilience and productivity.
