Juncai Ma (馬俊才)
Chinese University of Hong Kong
I received my BSc degree in microbiology from Shandong University in 2016 and my PhD degree in Biochemistry from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2021. Currently, I am a postdoctoral fellow in Prof. Byung-Ho Kang's lab at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. My research primarily focuses on plant cell biology, specifically investigating the mechanisms of canonical and non-canonical autophagy pathways in Arabidopsis. I utilize advanced 3D electron microscopy, as well as correlative light and electron microscopy, to study membranous organelles in eukaryotes. Additionally, I am interested in liquid-liquid phase separation and phase transitions in cellular condensates in eukaryotic cells.
