Baiying Li (李白穎)

Dr. Baiying Li is currently an assistant professor of the Department of Biology at the Hong Kong Baptist University. She received both her Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology and the postdoctoral training from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in Professor Liwen Jiang’s plant cell and molecular biology lab. Dr. Li ’s research areas mainly focus on protein trafficking in the plant endomembrane system, including in vitro vesicle reconstitution of COPII vesicles, autophagy, and pathway crosstalk especially the modulation of the endomembrane system by plant hormones. She also conducts research investigating the role of UFMylation in plant cells.
